NH "Keystone State" Close-Up

Fluted buffet-lounge sleeper, New Haven "Keystone State" (NH 551).  I started with one of the pre-production New Haven "State" Series kits offered by Eastern Seaboard Models, but made some minor changes.  Instead of painting the end parts silver, I cemented the doors into the ends and covered them with Bare Metal matte aluminum adhesive foil to give the ends a closer appearance to the plated brass sides.  The outer sides of the inner diaphragm frames were still painted silver, while the inner sides of all the diaphragm parts were painter Hunter Green.  I painted the roof and floor assemblies in weathered black.  The remaining assembly of the car was according to the instruction sheet.  At a later date, I will add a detailed interior.  This sleeper-lounge is assigned to the Federal consist.
