EP-4, New Haven (NH 364).  Majority scratchbuilt operational model with a handful of commercially-available components.  The mechanism consists of a 3D-printed stainless steel frame which encases a Kato GG-1 motor and gear shafts.  The truck frames are 3D-printed resin snapped onto the Kato GG-1 gear towers.  The front pilots are 3D-printed resin with BLMA grab irons, Gold Medal locomorive eyelets and phosphor bronze wire riding on modified Kato GG-1 pilot trucks.  The body is 3D-printed resin with piping and cables formed from phosphor-bronze wire, and etched stainless steel side grills.  The horns are modified from Kato EMD air horns  The front pantograph is Kato and the rear pantograph is Bachmann.  The headlights contain SMLEDs wired to custom mini circuit boards underneath the roof.  Mechanism driven by an ESU LokPilot decoder with an ISE Powerkeeper keep-alive module.  Painted Tru-Color exterior green and Tamiya stencil black.  Decorated with stock Microscale decals.  The model took 1st place popular vote in the Motive Power Other category of the model contest and 1st place in the Excellence in N Scale Modeling judge's award at the N-Scale Enthusiast 30th Annual National N Scale Convention in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in June 2024.
