34-foot Northeastern caboose, Reading (RDG 94055).  This Overland Models brass import is based on Western Maryland's Northeasten caboose in the diesel era, which can also pass for a modernized Reading caboose as well.  I started by airbrushing the body Accu-Paint Reading Yellow, masking off the upper sections and airbrushing in Reading Green.  The underframe and trucks were airbrushed in Stencil Black.  The steps and wheel faces were hand painted in black, the grabirons in yellow and the window frames in Scalecoat Bright Silver.  The car was decorated with Eastern Seaboard Models' Reading caboose decals.  Micro-Trains couplers were mounted on the ends.  The car was airbrushed with a satin clear coat to protect the decals.  The model was finished in 1990.
