Tri-level auto rack, enclosed, Santa Fe (ATSF 700115).  This model of a modified Whitehead & Kales car is scratchbuilt.  The flatcar is milled from brass, while the perforated sides and tri-fold doors are etched brass.  The Red Caboose ladders are stock while the roof and brake ratchet are modified.  The decks are styrene.  Brake hardware is from a Micro-Trains boxcar underframe.  The body and underframe were painted Indian Red while The interior and roof were painted white.  Micro-Trains body mounted couplers and trucks with Fox Valley low-flange wheelsets were installed.  Decals are a combination of Micro-Scale and custom.  This model took 1st place in the Freight Cars category of the model contest at the N-Scale Collector's 15th Annual National N Scale Convention in Hartford, Connecticut in August 2007.  In March 2008, new prototypically-correct tri-level radial doors were etched from brass, painted to match the existing model and installed.
