Ferrari P4 in red Spectraflame.
For this Grand
Prix addition, I started with the HWC Super Chromes all-metal version,
used brake fluid to remove the existing graphics and prepared for a prototypical scheme.
Tamiya clear red was airbrushed over the chrome after masking the headlights.
Black digits printed on white decal paper were cut with a 3/8" diameter hole punch to
simulate the target numbers. The matallic gold was printed on clear
decal film for the racing stripes. I painted the interior charcoal gray.
Tamiya clear was airbrushed over to protect the decals and blend in with the red
finish - but next time I'll use a different brand as the red bled slightly, even
though the red was airbrushed weeks before. I think the casting looks good
in the redress from the Original Era. All that's missing is an opening engine
cover.
Chromed metal chassis.
Dark gray interior. Clear glass.
1968-Style redline wheels.
Thailand casting.
