1969 Early, page 11.  All three cars appear to be wearing enamel paint.  The Ford J-Car photograph was cropped too closely over the engine compartment cover.  On the Python, the rear columns of the roof are painted black, a scheme used on the early U.S. production models.

 
1969 Early, page 12.  The Corvette and Volkswagen appear to be painted in enamel colors, while the Heap and Eldorado appear to be wearing Spectraflame paint.  The headlights on the US-made Bug are not painted silver.
